Grand Theft Auto 5 is a little more than a month away from release, but Rockstar has yet to give fans of the series an extended look at the multiplayer for the game. That will all change soon, as Rockstar has announced that they will be revealing the game's online multiplayer mode this Thursday, August 15. This news comes straight from Rockstar's official website, and the announcement will not only provide a preview of the online mode but a gameplay video of the multiplayer portion of the game in action.
Rockstar has only hinted as to what the multiplayer of the game will be like, and it remains the biggest question mark about the game. While the multiplayer was seen briefly at the end of the gameplay video released in July, Rockstar has overall been quiet on the multiplayer part of Grand theft Auto 5. Players will be able to form gangs and compete against other groups, but this has yet to be seen until this upcoming reveal.
The developer is preparing to unleash their open world crime drama, and they have started a new mural hyping the game. Kotaku is reporting that a new mural is being painted onto the unique building that is the Figueroa Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The murals feature the three playable characters from the game, Michael, Trevor, and Franklin. The hotel has three wings extending from the main building, so the building is perfect for showing the three characters off to the public. In addition, the game's setting of Los Santos is based around Los Angeles and southern California, so the setting of the new mural is perfect. Rockstar has previously commissioned a mural of the game's box art in New York City.
Rockstar has been busy getting Grand Theft Auto 5 ready for launch, and publisher Take-Two has also been busy trying to get control of the GTAV.com domain name. The game is expected to be a huge success for Rockstar and Take-Two, and could be the last big game to come out exclusively for the current generation of consoles before developers begin rolling out games for both the current gen consoles and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Grand Theft Auto 5 will be a huge open-world game, and the game's environment is so impressive that it made legendary developer and Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima depressed over the scale of the world and the details within the imaginary Blaine County. The game will be even more impressive than Liberty City from Grand Theft Auto 4, and will feature a variety of vehicles and missions to try out, along with other bizarre activities available within Grand Theft Auto 5.
