On Monday, a photo leaked showing what looks like the new HTC One Max, the phablet sized version of the HTC One. Now there's a new photo that shows how big the HTC One Max really is, with a 4-inch touchscreen smartphone on top of it for comparison.

The new photo, sourced to French tech site nowhereelse.fr, via BGR, shows how massive the HTC One Max really is. While the photo leaked Monday showed a clear view of the HTC One Max, that's not what we really needed—this photo is. Imagine slipping the black smartphone (which has a pretty standard size, if a little small for contemporary smartphones, though it also has a protective case) into your pocket. Now try to do that with the HTC One Max below.

The HTC One Max isn't the only upsized phablet version of a company's flagship smartphone - Samsung, of course, is working on more than one phablet within its vast and diverse Galaxy lineup, but Sony recently released a phablet version of the Xperia Z, called the Xperia Z Ultra. When Sony unveiled the Xperia Z Ultra, a 6.4-inch phablet monster, it also unveiled the cleverly named SBH52 (sarcasm), which is a small handset that pairs with the giant phablet - a handheld phone for your cellular phone.

Will HTC release something like the SBH52 accessory, whenever the HTC One Max gets a release date and unveiling? Or does the company think that there's no need because the HTC One Max is looking to be a 6-inch phablet? Judging from the photo, the One Max may be giant enough that it needs a little buddy to make it less awkward to use.

Previous rumors have the HTC One Max with a quad-core 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, assisted by 2GB of RAM. There will be 64GB of internal storage (with the possibility of microSD, though this would be a little out of HTC recent approach) and a 3,200 mAh battery, if rumors pan out. The massive 6-inch display will have 1080p resolution, according to rumored specs.
