Samsung has begun rolling out Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean updates to its line of devices, and it looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is the next in line.

Samsung started rolling out the Android 4.2.2 updates late last week, starting with the Galaxy S2 Plus in Germany, then extending the release to the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. Now the Galaxy Note 8.0 is getting the Android download, specifically the LTE version (GT-N5120), according to SamMobile. The update is only available in the United Kingdom right now, but it will be spreading across other countries soon, and we'll show you a link to download and update your device manually right away.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean features some nice bonuses, like Daydream mode, which is like a screensaver for your Galaxy Note 8. The update also includes a notifications panel in the status bar, customizable lockscreen widgets, and more accessibility options. There's also multi-user mode, which gives you several different user accounts to customize on one device. And there's even more good news: there are a few widgets bundled with the new features, and expect to find your Galaxy Note 8's battery life and overall performance increased.

When the Android 4.2.2 update starts rolling out in your country, or if you are in the U.K. now, you can get the new Jelly Bean operating system either OTA (automatically, over the air) or using Samsung's update software Samsung Kies. You can also go here and download and update your device's firmware manually, courtesy of SamMobile.

It seems that Samsung is delivering the Android 4.2.2 update in reverse order of importance or popularity of the device. The first to get the update, the Galaxy S2 Plus, signaled Samsung's process of carefully rolling out the new operating system - possibly looking for complaints, bugs, or problems - before hitting the newer, more popular Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 with the update. We'll keep you posted on when those devices are getting updates.
