Great Britain's Chris Froome lived up to the hype as the top contender of the 2013 Tour de France on Saturday after finishing ahead of the peloton in Saturday's excruciating race.
Peter Sagan solidified his grip on the green jersey following his victory in Stage 7. The Slovakian sprinter, who finished in the top 3 since stage 2, clocked at 4 hours 54 minutes and 12 seconds just ahead of Germany's John Degenkolb and Italy's Daniele Bennati.
Sprinters really showcased their skills through the streets of Marseille on Stage 5 with Great Britain's Mark Cavendish winning the Cagnes-sur-Mer to Marseille race.
As expected, Tuesday's team time trial showcased the dominance of the powerhouse teams like Team Sky, Omega Pharma-Quick Step, and Saxo-Tinkoff. However at the end of Stage 4, it was Australia's Orica-GreenEDGE that finished ahead of the group with a time of 25 minutes and 57 seconds. Apparently, it's enough for Simon Gerrans to relish hiss yellow jersey victory, at least for now...
