After wading through months of misinformation and promises from Bethesda, legions of Playstation 3 Skyrim fans will finally gain access to the Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard DLC packs in February, confirms the developer's official blog. Oh, the PC version will launch Tuesday, February 5th on Steam too.

"Dragonborn will be the first add-on arriving on PSN in Feburary," reads the post. "Hearthfire will release next, followed by Dawnguard, and all three should be out in February. The 1.8 update will also release, just prior to Dragonborn. We'll keep you posted as release dates get finalized both on our end and with Sony for each and its various languages. Last but not least, each one will be 50% off during their launch week on PSN (Playstation Network)."

So, there you have it. Bethesda's delay has angered scores of Skyrim players, and it comes as no surprise that a substantial discount is bundled with the initial release. Dissatisfaction is thick in the air, as Bethesda's vice-president Peter Hines is more than well aware of.

Bethesda committed itself to releasing Dragonborn in particular back in December on the Bethesda Blog, but held back on details, noting that "We're hard at work to make content available early next year on PS3 and PC."

Dragonborn transports players to the land of Solstheim, a region within Morrowind. Notable gameplay additions include dragon mounts, alongside new armors, weapons, dungeons, and quests.

Dawnguard introduced a new quest-line as well and explored the undead of Skyrim by giving players a window into the war between vampires and humanity. Hearthfire is bite-size in nature and provides the tools to create and customize houses in Skyrim.

The developer assures fans that "over the last year, it's been a treat for us to work on new content for Skyrim, and we're excited that it will soon be available for everyone to explore. Thanks for all your support and sharing your adventures with us."
