The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 had just been released in August of last year, but fans are already speculating about its successor. The Galaxy Note 6 is not even set to be released until the second half of 2016. Here are some details we know or have around around the Internet about the phablet so far.

SamsungGalaxyNote6i reported that based on previous releases in the Galaxy Note series, the Note 6 will most likely release in the third quarter of 2016. The Note 2 launched in September 2012. The Galaxy Note 3 launched one year later. The Note 4 launched in September 2014. The Note 5 released in October 2015. The Note 6 will most likely release in September or October 2016.

As for the specifications of the Note 6, it is expected to have the same or a larger display than the Note 5’s 5.7-inch screen. The foldable screen may come with 4K resolution. The device will most likely have 8GB of RAM, a 16-core Exynos processor, a 30-megapixel primary camera and a 16-megapixel secondary shooter. It may have fast charging technology that allows the battery to charge 40% in just 4 minutes. Users may choose anywhere between 16GB to 256GB of internal memory, based on the same SamsungGalaxyNote6i report.

Other rumors even suggest that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 may release as early as August 2016. Venture Capital Post revealed that the device may be priced at around $1300. It may have a dual-camera module with auto-focus, optical image stabilization and fast wireless charging. The device might run on the new Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box. The Note 6 may have a Snapdragon Qualcomm octa-core 2.9 GHz processor and a 4500mAh battery.

TheGalaxyNote6 revealed that an optimized 6GB of RAM would be more likely present in the Note 6. The chipset may be an Exynos 56xx 16-core 3.X+ GHx. The handset may feature a new design with metal and alloy components. The foldable display with 4K resolution will also change the look of the flagship model significantly. The longer battery life and shorter charging period will also be among the Note 6’s biggest strengths. As for dimensions, it is expected to be slimmer and sleeker. In terms of performance, it will be faster than ever before. Samsung is aiming for the Galaxy Note 6 to be the slimmest, most secure and fastest device when it launches. All of these are still speculation and Samsung has yet to make an official announcement, so users should take the updates with a grain of salt.
