One of the most highly anticipated technology-based events is set to take place tomorrow in Berlin, and all eyes are drawn to what new products will break news or even history.

Although officially taking place between Aug. 31 to Sept. 5, it is the Aug. 29 date when a series of press conferences will take place by giants Microsoft, Samsung, Sony, and HTC, to name a few. The technology companies report on latest devices, upcoming releases, and updates of their products.

Lots of hype is set around Samsung, especially coming out of the court battle with Apple. The South Korean based company is hosting their Unpacked event where the Galaxy Note 2 is set to make its grand debut. The successor of the Galaxy Note, which also premiered at last year's IFA, has been garnering lots of positive attention with its 5.5-inch screen, 1.5GB RAM, quad-core Exynos processor, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 4LTE, but that's all speculation but hopes are these rumored features are confirmed, or better, during their conference tomorrow.

The Galaxy Note 2 is expected to run on the latest Android operating system (OS) Jelly Bean, rather than the Ice Cream Sandwich.

As Latinos Post reported, Samsung is also scheduled to show the Samsung Series 5 Hybrid that includes Windows 8.

Sony is rumored to showcase its Xperia handsets, notably the Xperia T. The latest Xperia smartphone is speculated to come in with 4.3-inches of HD display, 1GB RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, dual-core 1.5GHz processor, and unlike the Galaxy Note 2, it's expected to run on the Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

HTC is apparently planning to debut a 5-inch smartphone, which Phone Arena claims could be the "flagship handset" for the company. The device is scheduled for a September or October release with a resolution of 1894x1080 pixels, a 1GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 768MB RAM, and five-megapixel rear-facing camera. It is rumored to run on the Android's Ice Cream Sandwich as well.

LG Electronics, according to IBNLive, will unveil the Optimus G smartphone. The device features include a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 21,000mAh battery capacity, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The latest LG smartphone is expected to come with a 4.7-inch WXGA True HD IPS+ Display with a resolution of 1280x768 pixels.

CNET also reports LG to debut a 21:9 monitor which features a 2,560x1,080-pixel screen resolution.

The IFA isn't just about tablets and smartphones, but LED TV's are also a main attraction. According to Daily News & Analysis, Sony will display its Crystal LED televisions. Samsung might reveal their next-generation ES9000 series of LED TVs with rumored 75-inches in screen size.
