Following the major blow by Apple, Samsung may have another plan up its sleeve in what could be a hybrid of Samsung and Microsoft Windows 8. Perhaps it's good to teammate with your enemy's enemy.
Proof what could be the Samsung Series 5 Hybrid was shown recently on Samsung Notebook's Facebook page 15 hours ago with simple statement: "Don't worry, it's just around the corner..."
The photo also says "Ready to be smart" and points out it will debut at the IFA 2012 show in Berlin, the same even where Samsung will show off several other products such as the Galaxy Note 2.
A video was also released teasing the new tablet showing some features of the exterior.
According to CNET, the new tablet features an eight-megapixel rear-facing camera and a two-megapixel front-facing camera, and 11.6-inch touchscreen. Battery life is expected to last up to 10 hours and can charge when docked.
Comments so far from fellow Facebook users are in the positive territory, as seen below:
Timi Azeez: For me Microsoft did it right this time. Instead of bringing the mobile OS to the PC they brought the PC to the mobile OS which better brings the best of both worlds with no limits to what you can do either way.
Imran Bukhari: this is INNOVATION, im waiting for it.
Santiago Navarrete: Is this the Windows RT version of the Galaxy Note 10.1? Sweet! Can't wait! I hope it comes with the S pen. Nice!
Ezekiel Carsella: hope it is budget friendly.
This might not be the first time the new tablet was seen, as video surfaced back in June of the Samsung Series 5 Hybrid, with the description: “that is basically a tablet with [a] keyboard dock.”
What is known is all will be revealed at the highly anticipated IFA 2012 show in less than 48 hours, perhaps more importantly, less than two week away from Apple’s announcement of the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini.
