Fresh off of a shocking Hell in a Cell, the road to Survivor Series began with another big night on WWE Friday Night Smackdown in Tampa, Fla.
New World Heavyweight Champion John Cena came out to celebrate on Smackdown after repelling Damien Sandow's Monday Night Raw challenge when he attempted to cash in on his Money In The Bank suitcase, only to be interrupted by Zeb Colter and the Real Americans. Colter tried to recruit Cena, congratulating him on defeating Alberto Del Rio, but Cena cracked jokes on them before Sandow came out, vowing to put an end to Cena's title reign. WWE Tag Team champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust came out to even the odds before Smackdown GM Vickie Guerrero ordered a Six Man Tag Match match between the Rhodes and Cena versus The Real Americans and Sandow.
The Usos Brothers defeated Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose of The Shield, when Big E Langston came down to ringside to help out The Usos against the "numbers game" that the Shield tend to play, preventing Shield member Roman Reigns from interfering in the match.
Fresh off their surprising attacks of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan on Monday, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of the Wyatt Family beat The Prime Time Players in a tag team match.
The Miz hosted a MizTV segment where he was once again attacked by the WWE Champion Randy Orton, the Viper RKOing The Miz in the middle of the ring.
Total Divas the Bella Twins and Natalya defeated the team of Tamina, Alicia Fox, WWE Divas champion AJ Lee, when Natalya made AJ tap out with a Sharpshooter.
In the main event, the team of world champion John Cena and WWE Tag Team champions Cody Rhodes and Goldust defeated Damien Sandow and the Real Americans.
