After Shawn Michaels once again delivered a controversial ending in the WWE Championship main event to close out a widely-acclaimed WWE Hell in A Cell PPV Sunday night, questions abound for Monday as WWE Monday Night Raw kicks off from Orlando, Fla.
John Cena made a triumphant return to the ring last night in his Hell In A Cell (HIAC) title match, fending off Alberto Del Rio's repeated attacks on his surgically-repaired arm to win the Heavyweight championship from "The Mexican Aristocrat". But will ADR, who had been on a vicious mean streak of late, take his defeat lying down? And what will Cena do now that he is the target of Damien Sandow - the current Money In The Bank briefcase holder?
Paul Heyman tried to run and hide in plain sight during his HIAC 2-on-1 Handicap cage match last night, letting Ryback do all the heavy-lifting against CM Punk, only to get outsmarted by the "Straight Edge Superstar" once again. After punishing his former mentor with a Kendo stick atop the HIAC cage, after months of torture since the Money In The Bank pay-per-view, will Punk be satisfied with his revenge and move on to the next chapter or will he want to continue to punish Heyman further?
Kane returned to the WWE in a big way at the HIAC pay-per-view, clearing the ring after The Wyatt Family's Erick Rowan and Luke Harper ambushed The Miz when he called out Bray Wyatt. The Miz had a tough weekend after suffering a beatdown from The Wyatts and getting chained to a fence on the last Friday Night Smackdown, as well as taking a choke-slam from the "Big Red Monster" after receiving his help against the Wyatts. AJ Lee, determined to prove to the Total Divas cast-members that she is the best female wrestler on the roster, found a way to hold on to her WWE Divas title ay HIAC, taking advantage of Brie and Nikki Bella's mistakes to retain her championship. Who will step up in the wake of the Bellas defeat, as AJ and her bodyguard, Tamina, continue to run through the Divas roster?
Shawn Michaels' ties to both WWE COO Triple H and Daniel Bryan were well-documented prior to the HIAC main event between Bryan and Randy Orton, leaving many to wonder who Michaels would side with, in the main event cage match to the determine who would hold the vacant WWE Title. Michaels showed he was still loyal to his former D-Generation X partner-in-crime, nailing Bryan with a stunning Sweet Chin Music superkick out of nowhere after he attacked Triple H and gift-wrapping the WWE Title to "The Apex Predator". Triple H's chosen champion has the belt back in his clutches, despite Michaels' hesitation to assist Orton and the WWE exec, but did "The Showstopper"--who will be in attendance Monday night--really do what is best for business?
