Lindsey Vonn previously expressed fears that Tiger Woods may cheat on her, but the Olympic skiing gold medalist had a change of tone in a recent interview with the Star Tribune.
In an interview with Star Tribune columnist CJ, Vonn was asked about the importance of monogamy in a relationship. Surprised with the question at first, Vonn hinted that she believes that her golf superstar boyfriend is capable of being a one-woman man.
"Ah, I don't know. That's kind of a weird question. But, ah, I mean, you have to trust the person that you're with and we're happy and that's all," Vonn said when asked if she thinks fidelity is a part of the foundation of her relationship with Woods.
In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, Vonn also revealed that her relationship with Woods has been teaching her how to deal with immense pressure in her profession, saying that their ability to relate to each other's lives is making them stronger together.
"He understands pressure and he understands, obviously, competing at an extremely high level. It's difficult for me going into big events like the Olympics because there's so much more pressure and media attention, and he gets that every single day. So it's nice to be able to talk to him about it and we can relate to each other's lives so well. So I think that's one of the reasons why we work," said Vonn, who is currently in Austria preparing for her return in the World Cup skiing circuit.
Vonn's tone was the complete opposite of her alleged fears that Woods would cheat on her when the popular golf icon arranged a vacation for his two kids along with his ex-wife Elin Nordegren in July.
Upon learning of the planned vacation with Nordegren, Vonn reportedly demanded that she should go with Woods, a request that was immediately dumped by Nordegren.
"Elin found out what Tiger was planning and told him he can come to Sweden - but not with Lindsey. Lindsey is convinced that Tiger still has feelings for Elin and, if he got the chance, he would dump Lindsey in a flash and get back together with her," the Enquirer reported.
