Nintendo is working hard on bringing "The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds," the newest entry into the series coming to the 3DS on Nov. 22, while at the same time developing a brand new game for the struggling Wii U. Eiji Aonuma, a producer for the series, recently sat down with Japanese website 4Gamer (and translated by Siliconera) and discussed the game, and revealed that Nintendo is continuing to tweak the Legend of Zelda formula as seen in A Link Between Worlds.

Aonuma revealed that the game will use the Wii U gamepad in "various ways", though the producer did not go into detail. Perhaps this is the way the producer decides to shake up the series formula, along with adding A Link Between World's structure where players can complete dungeons in any order they choose.

Aonuma addressed previous comments he made about being "tired" of making Zelda games, and he explained that he meant that he was tired of making Zelda games that held onto the same basic formulas, and is looking to shake up the series to make growth possible:

"When I say I'm tired, I'm not talking about making Zelda, but rather, the same constituent that has been used to make Zelda up until now. While on the subject, in regard to how we've always done things the traditional way until now: 'Why does it have to be traditional?' That's the question I've been asking myself...If we don't change that, we can't make something new. We're slightly approaching The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds with that mindset, and also the next Zelda title, which we intend to continue changing."

The producer for the legendary series also stated that this revamping of the series is helping him regain his passion for the "Legend of Zelda" series. In addition, he gave examples of ways the series could further change:

"So, by no means, am I tired of it. Rather, the more we change it, the more I get fired up. Having someone think 'Huh? Is this Zelda?!' at first, then 'Oh, it is Zelda,' is what we're going for. Something that wouldn't make it matter whether Link or Princess Zelda appear in it or not. Something where it wouldn't even matter if Zelda is actually a princess, or not."

The new Wii U "Legend of Zelda" does not have a release date or official title yet, but many gamers expect the game to be released sometime in 2014.
