Grand Theft Auto 5 Online has not had an impressive launch to say the least; since the mode went online on Oct. 1 there have been many issues. But good news for those afflicted with glitches: your troubles may be over. Rockstar has prepared a new patch to fix issues with the online portion of the immensely popular game.
This new patch has been already released for PlayStation 3 owners, and Rockstar has stated that they will bring the patch to Xbox 360 owners as quickly as possible. For a full list of issues found in the online portion of the game, readers can visit the Support Page for Grand Theft Auto 5.
No reports yet on how effective the title update has been for gamers, but considering how broken Grand Theft Auto 5's online mode is, Rockstar has to do something permanent to fix the various problems. After all, while a game as huge as Grand Theft Auto 5 is expected to have some errors during the launch of the online portion, the amount of problems of being reported is far beyond normal. So far the online mode of the game has been a huge disappointment and is far from reaching the full potential that Rockstar promised.
New errors found in Grand Theft Auto 5 online include 10-15 minute loading screens for matchmaking, which eventually will give players a timed out message if they continue to wait. Rockstar is also reporting that some of the offline and online jobs found in the game are mixing together in the jobs list found in the game.
One particular error that has been found occurs due to cloud outage. Players will end up playing as a temporary character where they do not have any jobs or markers available and they can only roam around Los Santos aimlessly. Perhaps the patch that Rockstar is putting out will help fix these new errors, along with all the other errors that have been reported.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a monstrous success for Rockstar despite the amount of errors that have been found in both the online and offline portions of the game. Gamers have flocked to the game, quickly setting sales records. In addition, critics have fallen head-over-heels in love with the game. Grand Theft Auto 5 has a Metacritic score of 97.
