Jeremy Lin News: Linsanity to Showcase Post-Up Moves, Accurate Sniping Next Season; Houston Rockets Guard Much Better Than Before

Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin is having a great off season, so far, having worked out with Dwight Howard under the tutelage of NBA great Hakeem Olajuwon and gaining the trust from the coaching staff - including head coach Kevin McHale.

Lin, who will enter his second season with the Rockets, is reportedly developing great on-court chemistry with the team's newest big man in Howard.  

In fact, Lin and Howard staged a mini-camp in Aspen in an effort to master the pick-and-roll ahead of training camp. Both players are well adept with the pick-and-roll, but the presence of Olajuwon gave them a different perspective of the simple yet potent basketball play.

But aside from Lin's bread and butter game, Olajuwon is also working on Lin's post-up ability.  According to FOX NBA insider Mark Berman, the Rockets great was surprised to see Lin's repertoire of moves at the post.

"Hakeem Olajuwon on working with Jeremy Lin for the 1st time: 'He has a nice post move. I said 'how come you are not using that in a game?''," Berman posted on his Twitter account.

Lin is reportedly much stronger than ever and now shooting pretty efficiently from different spots on the floor.

"The first thing I told [Lin] when I saw him shooting, you hear from different people, a lot of them say he cannot shoot. So I went to him and I said 'I thought you can't shoot,' because the way he was shooting, I was very impressed. He was working on his shot. He was shooting tough shots and was making them.

"So I went to him (and said) I thought you can't shoot and he was laughing. He really has been working on his shot and I love his work ethic," said Olajuwon in an article by Spencer Lund of Dime Bug.

Based on the statements of Olajuwon and other NBA insiders, Lin appears to be headed to a breakout year with the Rockets. Then again, that has yet to be seen. If Lin really takes his skills to another level and fits perfectly with James Harden and Howard around, then there's no doubt the Rockets are out to give contenders plenty of scare next season.
