Former Disney star, Demi Lovato, has signed a multi-book deal with Feiwel (FYE'well) and Friends. According to the Huffington Post, the first book will be titled "Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year" and it will include tweets she has written about her life.
The website also reported the 21-year-old singer and actress also wants to release a memoir about her struggles with drug addiction and her time in rehab.
Lovato seems to be back on track, after entering rehab for eating disorders and self-harm, the Huffington Post reported. She had been struggling with "emotional and physical issues" since childhood and sought help to deal with her demons.
"It's something I don't really want to talk about," Lovato told Fabulous Magazine during an interview last year, as quoted by Huffington Post. "What I can say is that I was depressed. I would come off stage in front of 18,000 people and suddenly be alone in a hotel room. I'd come crashing down and would try to find a way to recreate that feeling, to stay 'up.'"
This year, Lovato will return for another season of "The X Factor," where she will once again judge alongside singers Paulina Rubio, Kelly Rowland and show legend Simon Cowell. Rubio and Lovato had been photographed hugging and smiling, the Huffington Post reported. Rubio tweeted a picture captioned, "My little sister and she is learning español."
With all they have in common, the singers seemed to be getting along pretty well. Besides sharing a passion for music, they are also both of Mexican descent. According to the webiste, Rubio was born in México City, and even though Lovato was born in New México, her Mexican family taught her to love her Hispanic culture.
Lovato also expressed her love for Rubio, posting a collage of the "X-Factor" judges and a picture of herself and Rubio. "I <3 my PAU PAU. God this woman is FIERCE! #oldersis #xfactor," wrote the "Heart Attack" singer.
Last month, Lovato said she was going to be a tougher judge on her second season at the "X-Factor." When asked by MTV News if she had changed any of her judging techniques since last season, she explained, "I've raised my bar, I put a lot of people through last year that had the overall package but didn't have the best voices. And now I've raised the bar where I am not putting anyone through that I don't think has a winning vocal capability, and so I say no to a lot of people."
Season 3 of the "X-Factor" will have a two-night premiere on Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 11 and 12, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
