It seems someone has been nostalgic and remorseful. This robber has decided to give back the $300 he stole years ago along with a letter.

Interasian Market and Deli in Nashville received an intriguing envelope from a man days ago. The son of the owner, Somboon Wu, was hesitant to accept the envelope from the man, reports Nashville Scene. In fact, he never accepted it. The man, however, came back to the store and left the envelope on the counter.

Wu waited for his father, Keosavanh Xayarath before opening the suspicious envelope. Much to their surprise, the envelope contained money in the amount of $300 along with a letter. The man confessed that he robbed the store 11 to 12 years ago under the influence of drugs.

The owners were so appreciative that they posted a photo of the letter on their Instagram account.

"Isn't it amazing? We don't know this guy, but we want to let people know he's out there trying to fix his life. You know, we get cynical," I get cynical ... a lot. But this just slaps you in the face. There are good people out there, and they deserve a second chance," Wu told Nashville Scene.
