Super Smash Bros 4 is expected to come out sometime in 2014 for the Wii U and the 3DS, and fans of the series have been eager to examine any and all news about the game that Nintendo has released on the game's official website. Nintendo has released several new screenshots from the game that reveal several new aspects of the game, including how one of the new stages will operate.
One of the newest screenshots shows off the recently announced Pilotwings stage, and the screenshot reveals that the stage will be very dynamic, to say the least. The photo, shown above, shows Pikachu and Fox fighting it out on the wings of a biplane, with Wuhu Island filling the background of the stage. This means that players will have to deal with the stage flying through the air, and possibly encountering turbulence or other factors that can cause chaos on the battlefield.
Another big update to the stages of the game comes from the new Metroid: Other M stage that was revealed this past week. The description of the stage hints that Ridley, the popular boss from the Metroid series will be making an appearance at the level. The stage looks like it could be a fan favorite, as it is a simple enough stage for players to test their skills out on, while offering some dynamic events to help shape how the match goes.
A different screenshot reveals some new information about one of the new characters coming to the series, Capcom's Mega Man. On screenshot shows the recently announced Luigi throwing Mega Man's Metal Blades back at him, indicating that the circular saws will be items that players can pick up and use as items, similar to the way the Wario's motorcycle can be thrown at enemies after use.
Finally, one of the most interesting tidbits of new information about the game comes from one of the plainest screenshots released from the game. The image is from the 3DS version of the game, and shows the Wii Fit Trainer and The Villager from Animal Crossing just sitting around. However, the information that can with the screenshot reveals that the character outlines on the 3DS version of the game can be customized, and even turned off. This means the black outline surrounding characters in the game can be shut off, making it so the game looks much more like the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.
