A teen Filipino fighter claimed that he will be the next big thing in boxing, saying he's a hybrid of both pound-for-pound champions Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
In an interview with ESnews reporter Elie Seckbach at Mayweather Boxing Gym, Isaiah Bautista proudly said he's not going to be next Pacquiao or the next Mayweather, but a combination of both surefire Hall of Fame boxing stars.
"Put them both together [Pacquiao and Mayweather] and that's me," said Isaiah when asked by Seckbach about which fighter he will eventually turn out to be.
Bautista said he has already fought 87 amateur fights despite his tender age and he's planning to represent the United States of America at the Olympic Games.
Bautista added that he wants to fight at 120 pounds just like his idol Nonito 'the Filipino Flash' Donaire, who is a four-division world champion.
"Yeah, I watch Nonito a lot. He got the style, very fast and has power," Bautista said about Donaire.
When asked if people should look out for him in a couple of years from now, Bautista had a simple answer.
"That's most definitely," Bautista said.
