The New York Knicks are considering signing a veteran shooting guard known for his feisty defense and reliable perimeter shooting, a reliable league source reported on Monday.

After re-signing shooting guard J.R Smith, the Knicks are reportedly looking to add in former Utah Jazz defender Raja Bell to their roster after the veteran shooting guard made an impression during a private workout with the team.

Bell, a two-time All-Defensive team member, is targeting an NBA comeback after he spent much of the 2012-13 season away from the Utah Jazz while he was under contract.

Despite his mercurial attitude, the 36-year Bell is a proven player in the league with the ability to shutdown an opposing team's perimeter player and knock down three-point bombs, especially from the corner.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly offered Andrew Bynum a two-year, $24 million deal with a team option in the second year.

Bynum, who's also courted by the Atlanta Hawks and the Dallas Mavericks, is still undecided up to this point when almost all premier free-agent big men were already taken off the market.

The Cavaliers hope Bynum will bounce back from an injured marred season with the Philadelphia Sixers and become a dominant force again inside the paint.
