Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic have already hit the grass this week in their preparation for the upcoming Wimbledon Open championships at All England Tennis Club. Meanwhile, French Open champion Rafael Nadal is all set to make his grass-court season debut at the BNP Paribas Classic on Friday.

Federer, seeking for a record eighth title at the Wimbledon Open, is now at the peak of his training in London after bagging his first singles title of the season at the Gerry Weber Open a week ago.

The 17-time Grand Slam champion is seeded no.3 in the tournament behind Britain's Andy Murray and top-ranked Serbian Novak Djokovic who also arrived early this week in London to sharpen his game.

Djokovic, being the world's no.1 tennis player in the ATP Rankings, is awarded the top seed in the Grand Slam tournament but the road ahead will be tough because of the possibility of playing Rafael Nadal as early as the quarterfinal round.

Nadal hasn't started his grass-court training yet, but the King of Clay will soon play on the grass in a warm-up event at the BNP Paribas Classic. It's about a year ago since the Spaniard lost in a stunning fashion to unheralded Lukas Rosol in a five-set thriller. Nadal announced after the match that he suffered a knee injury that required months of rehabilitation.

Murray, on the other hand, recently won the ATP World Tour 250 series Aegon Championships at Queen's Club in London. He had a solid run in the Wimbledon warm-up that includes three-set victories against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the semifinal and former champion Marin Cilic in the final.
