Guess what? It's finally here. Samsung Galaxy Note owners have been watching their 2011 brethren, Galaxy S2 owners, slowly get their fill of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and now it looks like they can finally join in on the fun. Reports indicate that the Galaxy Note international model GT-N7000 is receiving Android 4.1.2.

Samsung fansite SamMobile states that Android 4.1.2 build JZO54K is currently being rolled out OTA to Galaxy Note owners in Asia - more specifically, in Hong Kong and Taiwan. As with all Android OTA updates, the Galaxy Note Jelly Bean software is being pushed out in batches, so if your handset in that region hasn't received it yet, it should soon. More regions worldwide should follow, and as usual, the upgrade can also be grabbed with Samsung's KIES software.

The update is quite a substantial one, bringing many improvements to the Galaxy Note's experience. Handset performance and fluidity will increase thanks to Google's Project Butter, and Google Now, a voice assistant much like Siri, also becomes available to users. Samsung has thrown in a few of its own goodies too, such as the new Nature UX interface found on the latest Galaxy S3s, and Premium Suite, which includes Multi-View, a feature that allows for two apps to run simultaneously on screen.

The update is currently only hitting the GT-N7000 international variant, although more models should be seeing their Jelly Bean upgrades roll out in the coming months. There's no word on when U.S. carriers will update their variants, although given the track record of Android updates in the United States, it could be some time before that happens.

Let us know if you manage to update your GT-N7000 to Android 4.1.2, where you're located, and what you think of it.
