In October of last year, reports of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' filming in Atlanta spread like wildfire. Fortunately, Karen Kelly's residence was right next to some of the film's shooting locations. According to the blogger, the crew shot some scenes of the upcoming movie at the Pullman Yard.
"One morning, I went up to the rooftop terrace to have a look - and lo and behold, there was tons of action going on. I could see what looked like actors as well as cameramen and lighting techs,"Karen wrote on her Georgia Goods blog.
"After a bit of watching, I decided to see if I could get a better view through my zoom lens. Turns out the view was not too shabby!" she wrote on her blog.
Though it was a bit unfortunate that she wasn't able to see any of the cast, the blogger thought that it was still cool to see some of the scenes being shot.
Karen wrote on her blog, "Maybe you're a better star watcher than I am and will be able to pick out who's who, but sadly, I didn't see anyone I recognized. Still, it's pretty cool to watch the at least a small part of the creation of a movie I know I will be seeing in the theater!"
The first part of 'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' will, according to International Business Times, have the main cast reprise their roles, with Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, Josh Hutcherson as Peeta Mellarck, and Liam Hemsworth as Gale Hawthorne.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film, based on Suzanne Collins' popular series, topped Fandango's list of the most anticipated movies of the year.
Also on the list based on votes from Fandango users are the following films: 'The Hobbit: There and Back Again', 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2', and 'Divergent.'
The third installment of the 'Hunger Games' movie franchise will be released in theaters on November 21.
