Grand Theft Auto 5 was launched on Sept. 17, and players all over the world have begun digging into the game and its many secrets. As gamers begin completing missions and collecting vast sums of money, they can begin buying a fleet of fancy cars to show off and drive around Los Santos. That is, unless players fall victim to a nasty glitch that is being reported throughout that causes any and all cars players store in their garages to disappear without a trace.

The glitch occurs when players store a customized car in a garage, then go out to complete a mission. Many players are finding that their car has disappeared, with some reporting that each and every car in a garage may also vanish along with the customized car. Rockstar is aware of the issue, and has some advice for player's on Grand Theft Auto 5's official support page:

"We have received some reports about problems with cars and garages, particularly after upgrading and then completing a mission, and are looking into this now. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing.  If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page...Also please note that vehicles saves in the garage of one safehouse (Franklin's Aunt's) may not show up in the garage of a different safehouse (Franklin's Vinewood Hills)."

Rockstar later updated the page to state that this issue may also affect those driving other character's custom vehicles, and to avoid using garages until a solution is found by Rockstar:

"This issue may occur if you drive another character's personal vehicle. We are looking into a fix to prevent this from occurring in the future... In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades."

This is a huge issue for Grand Theft Auto 5, as cars are a fairly expensive item, and to have them disappear with zero chance of recovery is a big blow to those who worked hard to buy them in the game.
