The coming year will give T-Mobile customers a much-needed breath of fresh air, with the imminent arrival of Apple devices and LTE. On the Android side of the bed, things are also looking up, as T-Mobile retail locations around the country have now started carrying the Nexus 4 smartphone and and Google Play has started selling a Nexus 7 tablet with a T-Mobile SIM card.

The Google-branded LG Nexus 4 has been incredibly hard to find recently, having been sold out at the Google Play Store for quite some time now. T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier to offer the Nexus 4, and it wasn't too long ago that a shipping manifesto leaked out revealing that Nexus 4 units would finally be offered in brick-and-mortar T-Mobile stores for the first time.

A few calls to T-Mobile stores around Manhattan confirmed that the Nexus 4 is available for purchase, and some stores still have them in stock at the time of this article. If there ever was a break in the clouds for Nexus 4 seekers, this is it - there's no telling when the handset will be available for purchase through Google Play, despite LG insisting that there are no production hiccups.

T-Mobile sells the 16GB Nexus 4 for $199.99 with a contract. The carrier is planning on eliminating phone subsidies once and for all later this year, and instead offer customers more flexible, cheaper plans.

Those interested in picking up a Google Nexus 7 tablet with a T-Mobile cellular plan can now do so directly through Google Play. For $299, buyers get a 32GB unlocked Nexus 7 with a T-Mobile SIM card. The data plan will be up to the purchaser.

Keep an eye on T-Mobile in 2013, as the carrier is bolstering its Android support, reaching out to iOS fans, and bringing some novel ideas to a mobile market dominated by a few.
