The Google Nexus 7 dock will finally land in the U.S. within the next two weeks for $39.99, according to a 'reliable source' close to The Verge.
Past rumors speculated a January 10 release date, reflecting an early B&H listing, but the retail site has since amended its release schedule with an expected availability date of January 16, which falls in line with the source's information. In the U.K., the dock will be priced at £24.99.
The long-awaited accessory allows users to simultaneously charge their Nexus 7 tablet while propping the screen up to watch media, from movies and TV shows to youtube videos. Measuring in at 280g, the dock sports a 3.5mm audio-out and a micro-USB port, and doesn't require users to use cables to connect the accessory to the Nexus 7.

Google's Nexus 7 runs on Android Jelly Bean and sports a NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi, a 1280x800 display, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Consumers can get their hands on the 16GB model for $199.99, the 32GB for $249.99, and a cellular 32GB for $299.99.
