It's easy to understand why owners of the PS3 version of Skyrim are disenchanted with Bethesda. After months of eagerly awaiting the release of any DLC from the developer as three separate expansions rolled out on the Xbox 360, players' patience has begun to wear thin.
One Twitter user in particular, Kyle Collier, expressed his dissatisfaction to the vice-president of Bethesda Softworks Peter Hines and drew out a response from the exec, according to a SegmentNext report (via iDigitalTimes).
After Kyle noted how "tired [he is] of this whole mess," Hines assured the gamer that he would get fans "a date as soon as [he] can."
Collier adds, "Surely we deserve a bit more than that don't you think? That's the same answer we were getting for Dawnguard. Look how that went."
Hines deflected the comment and said, "We have committed to Dragonborn release. Just haven't announced date yet."
While the VP's exchange with the fed-up player produced no concrete details about the launch window of Dragonborn on the PS3, it's clear that the developer's reputation is on the line among the installed base of Skyrim's PS3 owners.
Back in December, a Bethesda Blog post explained that the developer had turned their attention to Dragonborn, and will work on releasing Dawnguard and Hearthfire once their latest DLC reaches the Playstation Store.
"Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we'll let you know. We're hard at work to make this content available early next year on PS3 and PC," writes the team.
Dragonborn transports players to the land of Solstheim, a region within Morrowind. Notable gameplay additions include dragon mounts, alongside new armors, weapons, dungeons, and quests.
