Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Sales Top One Million in Korea as Red, Brown ‘Phablets’ Discovered and Pictured

A couple of milestones are being celebrated by Samsung as 2012 concluded.

The South Korean based company announced it has sold its one millionth Galaxy Note 2 in South Korea, just three months after it launched in the country. Korean news site MK reported on the milestone and selling three times as fast compared to the original Galaxy Note.

Coincidentally, Japanese mobile news site Blog of Mobile reported two new colors for the Galaxy Note 2. The colors have been noted to be "Ruby Wine" and "Amber Brown."

The red and brown colors come after AndroidSlash reported about a black model of the Galaxy Note 2, however, it was checked to be a fake model. AndroidSlash has since updated the report to note the photo of the black model was done by Photoshop or by a similar program.

The Galaxy Note 2 features a 5.5-inch screen, considered to be "too big" for a mobile phone but "too small" for a tablet, the 'phablet" term was coined. With a pixel resolution of 1,280x720, the Galaxy Note 2 has the Super AMOLED HD display. Other features include an eight-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera, Android Jelly Bean operating system, and the S Pen stylus.
