While the Samsung Galaxy S4 is reportedly right around the corner, severe holiday sales are now slicing deep price cuts for prospective Galaxy S3 users subscribed to Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint.

With a two-year contract, consumers can purchase a Verizon 16GB Galaxy S3 in white for $59.99, a Sprint 16GB version in white for $0.01, and an AT&T 16GB phone for $79.99, according to the International Business Times.

The Galaxy S3 runs off of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which features S-Voice, Google Now, a smoother interface, improved search functionality, and a suite of other additions. The operating system, which has welcomed a warm reception among critics since its release, is currently available on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon platforms.

The Galaxy S3 sports a QUALCOMM dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, a 4.8-inch HD SUPER AMOLED display, NFC, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.

Apple's iPhone 5, the Galaxy S3's primary competition, sells from $199 to $399 with a two-year service plan on the Cupertino-based company's official website.

The iPhone 5 is feather-light and takes the record for the thinnest smartphone Apple has ever made. The device shows up the iPhone 4S with a 4-inch screen that displays at 1136 x 640 pixels, a brand new A6 chip, and an ultra-thin touch pad that sharpens feedback to user input.
