The Samsung Galaxy S4 rumor mill churns endlessly, and this time has spit out a potential release date as well as OS details.
The International Business Times (IBT) suggests "that the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S3 will arrive on mid-2013 after the announcement of the upcoming Google Android OS - Key Lime Pie."
Industry analysts originally speculated that the S4 would be shown off at CES 2013, a claim that has since been discredited by CNN. Instead, Samsung's upcoming flagship smartphone will be unveiled at a standalone conference.
As for the exact release date of Key Lime Pie, IBT notes that the software could land "anywhere from April to October."
Rumored specs include a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution, at least 2GB RAM, an 8-megapixel back camera, and a 13-megapixel front camera. Word of an eight-core processor has also swirled around.
When the Galaxy S4 launches in 2013, it will likely have to face off against the upcoming iPhone 5 successor, the BlackBerry 10, and several Windows 8 Phones for consumers' investments.
