The Google Nexus 4 is one notoriously-hard smartphone to find, but supplies may be opening up again starting Friday, Dec. 21 thanks to T-Mobile. The carrier has been running holiday promotions left and right, but the latest one may be the most exciting, especially for those looking to pick up a shiny new Google-branded LG Nexus 4 smartphone for free.

Starting on Doomsday Dec. 21, and running until the end of 2012, T-Mobile will be holding a "Zero Down Sale" that will give consumers a variety of quality of smartphones to buy for free after a $200 rebate. The buyer will have to pay $20 a month over 20 months in order to pay for the phone, and will still have to sign up for an Unlimited Value Plan two-year contract.

The handsets listed that can be picked up for free include the Google Nexus 4, which T-Mobile normally offers for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Funny thing is, T-Mobile currently lists the Nexus 4 as being out of stock, so we'll have to wait until Friday to see whether or not the carrier will open up new supply lines. The Nexus 4 is also currently sold out on the Google Play store, and the only way to currently order one is through third-party retailers.

Other smartphones that will be free after the $200 rebate are the 16GB Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC Windows Phone 8X, Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G, HTC One S, and the Blackberry Bold 9900.

The rebate isn't just for $200 smartphones, however. Website PhoneArena reports that T-Mobile customers can use the rebate towards more expensive handsets such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, but will have to pay an additional $100 upfront. This would be on top of the $20 over 20 months and the two-year contract.
