Every question, answer, riddle, oddity, and commodity resides on the internet somewhere, but it's up to you to find it. Yet, every day, every year begs different questions and offers separate answers than the one before it. Thanks to Google's Zeitgeist list, we can feel the pulse of human curiosity and pinpoint what triggered our imagination and interest. So, let's take a look at 2012's top tech searches.

It comes as no surprise that Diablo 3 reigns supreme among gaming searches this year, as anticipation for Blizzard's sequel had been boiling for over a decade. While there was some controversy surrounding the decision to make internet connections mandatory to play the single player portion of the game and swaths of the community rejected the game's "Auction House," Diablo 3 was well received among critics. Notably, none of the games on Google's list are original intellectual properties.
