Apple's presence and influence in China has been widely established, and recently, the Cupertino-based company has been making a more aggressive push into the Chinese mobile market. In an effort to offer Chinese consumers even more products to choose from, Apple has now obtained the necessary clearances from Chinese officials to begin selling the iPad Mini and iPad 4 3G and LTE models.

Website Apple Insider is reporting that the cellular models of the iPad Mini and iPad 4 will work on China Unicom's WCDMA network and China Telecom's CDMA2000 bands. There was no mention of any pricing or release date details, although given Apple's timely launch schedules, it shouldn't be long before Chinese consumers can utilize a fast wireless network on their iPads.

The cellular models of the iPad Mini and iPad 4 may help revitalize iPad sales in China, which has seen a recent slump. The early-December launches of the Wi-Fi-only iPad Mini and iPad 4 models were met with little enthusiasm by the Chinese public, who may be increasingly turning to non-Apple brands, or were simply holding out for a wireless model. The iPhone 5, however, did incredibly well in its recent Chinese debut, selling more than two million units in its first weekend.

The iPad Mini was unveiled earlier this year, and has a 7.9-inch display and harbors iPad 2 components such as a non-Retina display. The iPad 4 is an incremental improvement over the full-sized iPad 3, sporting a faster processor and the new lightning dock.
