Though LG has been in the headlines recently thanks to rumors tied up to its LG G5, all that may have to wait for now with the Korean-based company set to unveil its K Series instead at the 2016 CES in Las Vegas.
The LG K Series is actually a lineup composed of budget-friendly devices. The two models expected to be unveiled are the K10 and K7, a pair of new budget-friendly models that will come in a glossy pebble design and a curved modern finish that is aimed more for yuppies.
While the K Series is technically categorized as a budget-friendly device, the design that they new phones will come in somehow places it along the lines of expensive and exclusive handsets.
Aside from the pebble design, the K Series will also have a complimenting 2.5 D Arc Glass that should account for a smooth and seamless style. The back portion of the device will feature a woven pattern for easier handling as detailed by Android Authority.
Leading the pack of features the LG K Series include LG’s Gesture Shot and Gesture Interval Shot which should make taking selfies easy and hassle-free.
Gesture Shot enables users to take photos simply by raising an open hand in front of the lens and then clenching it into a fist
Aside from that, below are the other features to expect from the two models.
The LG K10 will feature a 5.3-inch HD 720p display, a 2,300 mAh battery and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The LG K10 will be available in 3G and LTE models where some specs will vary.
For the LG K10 3G model, the variant will feature a 5.3-inch 720p display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, an 8 MP main camera and either an 8 MP or 5 MP front-facing camera. The device will offer RAM choices of 1 GB, 1.5 GB or 2 GB while internal storage will either be 8 GB or 16 GB.
It will also come with a 2300 mAh battery and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
As far as the LTE variant is concerned the only notable difference is the processor choices and the higher main camera. Customers will be able to choose from among three versions (1.2 GHz or 1.3 GHz quad core or 1.14 GHz octa-core) as far as the processor preference with a 13 MP main camera completing its specs.
The LG K7 on the other hand with feature a 5-inch (854x480) touchscreen display, an 8 MP or 5 MP main camera, 1 GB /1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB/ 16 GB internal storage, a 5 MP front-facing camera, a 2,125 mAh battery and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The processor for the LG K7 3G and LTE models will once again vary. The LTE version will have a 1.1 GHz quad core CPU while the 3G model will carry a 1.3 GHz quad core.
