You've rung in the new year - now how to keep those resolutions you made?
Some may argue promises are made to be broken, but you want things to be different this year (which you also probably hoped for last year).
To achieve your 2016 goals, you'll need some help. If you're into tech, why not find an app for that, then?
Fitness and Weight Management
Lark has been one of the apps singled out by Apple as one of the top applications of the year, and it's hight time you found out why. It "uses a simple chat interface so it feels like you're texting a personal trainer, but it doesn't rely on you to enter every calorie or activity you've consumed in the day," according to Business Insider. It also can turn your iPhone into a movement and sleep sensor. If you inform the app what you ate, it can guide you on your nutrition.
MyFitness Pal and Pact are also other options for your fitness goals.
Breaking Bad Habits
Whatever they may be, HabitRPG can probably help you nudge yourself away from your personal vices, while having fun doing so.
"Like the name suggests, it's a role-playing game," Mashable explained. "But, instead of zapping bad guys for no reason, you play by living up to your promises - or slipping back into old habits."
The fun thing is that you'll earn rewards for resisting temptations and even compete with other friends trying to beat a habit, as well. You can even join a guild of other players facing similar challenges.
Boosting Savings
Mvelopes works via the "spending envelope" concept, which allows you to keep tabs on your spending and planning your income. It can even sync with your bank.
Making More Room for Chill Time
Headspace guides you through short or long meditations and can remind you to take that much-needed break. And reward you for taking the time to chill, too.
Eating Healthier
Epicurious has a good selection of recipes that you can add to your grocery list easily so you can remind yourself to get what you need to whip up a tasty meal. Yummly (bonus!) is another option, allowing you to put together a packed lunch in a jiffy.
"You can use that powerful filter to get recipes that fit your nutritional goals, avoid your allergies, and work with your tastes, or you can add your own favorite dishes to the app so that your 'Yums' are always right at your fingertips," Mashable suggested.
