While Samsung Galaxy S3 And Galaxy Note 2 users are already enjoying the fruits of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, those with the older Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note smartphones are still waiting for their Jelly Bean upgrades from Samsung. If you're a Galaxy S2 or Galaxy Note 2 owner, and can't wait, here are Android 4.1.2 firmwares you can download.
We do not endorse the use of any of these firmwares, and you flash them at your own risk. There's always a chance you could experience device failure, so make sure you back up your handset before trying this. Oh, and make sure to read the instructions carefully (you'd be surprised at how many people don't).
For the Galaxy S2, firmware I9100XXLSJ is available for download. Build I9100XXLSJ is the first Jelly Bean leak for the Galaxy S2, but seems to be stable. The firmware is the courtesy of XDADevelopers forum member izap.
You can download Android 4.1.2 firmware I9100XXLSJ for the Galaxy S2 at SamMobile.
Galaxy Note users can download firmware N7000BLS4TCE. This Android 4.1.2 version is a leak of the version from Mexican wireless provider Tel Cel, and comes with the carrier's bloatware pre-installed. Good news though, it looks like Spiderman HD comes pre-loaded. The Galaxy Note Android 4.1.2 update includes Galaxy Note 2 features such as Multi-View.
You can download Android 4.1.2 firmware N7000BLS4TCE at SamMobile as well.
None of the updates above are official, but SamMobile does state that both of them are near-perfect, with little bugs. Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy Note should officially release over the next couple months after Samsung polishes up the builds for a final push.
