Samsung has their hands full releasing devices left and right and having to keep them updated with newer versions of Android. The South Korean electronics company is doing a good job, however, it seems that those with the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet can now grab new version of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean.
The Jelly Bean update is only available to those in Germany, according to SamMobile, and applies to the Galaxy Note 10.1 Wi-Fi GT-N8010EAADBT model. The OTA update will upgrade the Galaxy Note 10.1 to PDA version N8010XXBLK9. Those who wish to download the Jelly Bean upgrade manually can visit samfirmware.com.
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is no major overhaul to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but still brings noticeable additions to the Android user's repertoire. Jelly Bean introduces Google Now, an Android voice assistant powered by Google that will tell you everything from the weather to how long your morning commute will take. Jelly Bean users will also find a significant performance boost thanks to Project Butter, which increases the frame rate and allocates system usage more efficiently for a more responsive interface.
We reported earlier that Jelly Bean started rolling out for German Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet back in November. The earlier update, however, boosted the PDA version to N8000XXBLJ9. The newer Jelly Bean will upgrade your Galaxy Note 10.1 to N8010XXBLK9.
Earlier this year, Samsung Sweden stated that Jelly Bean should be available to Galaxy Note 10.1 in Q4 2012, indicating that Jelly Bean was not far too far for the Galaxy Note 10.1. Other countries should be receiving a Galaxy Note 10.1 Jelly Bean update in the coming months.
Let us know if you've received your Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and where you're located.
