The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are Apple’s current phone models out in the market with a lot of people likely to consider getting one this Christmas if finances permit.
Without question, the iPhone 6s or 6s Plus seem to be a dandy device to get that includes tons of new features that improved on the previous iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. But just the same, would it be wise to get this edition rather than wait for the iPhone 7?
The likely month when the iPhone 7 would come out in the open would be by September, 2016, the regular month that Apple unveils its new iPhone to the market.
Right now, all folks have to refer to are rumors tied up with the iPhone 6s successor. However, if a lot of these rumors are dead-on, the iPhone 7 promises to be something big which will most likely cost a bit like the current line of iPhone 6s line.
As we speak, Apple is allegedly working on five prototypes of the iPhone successor. The iPhone 7 may do away with the traditional “Home” button and come out thinner than the ones we see right now.
There is a chance that we may have seen the last of the 3.5 mm headphone jacks that may eventually be replaced by a lightning port or even a USB Type-C for docking it which will surely bring up a lot of debate, particularly the ones who have been used to plugging in their earphones/headphones often.
Aside from that, there is belief as well that Apple has addressed the accidental water intrusion that some owners have had to deal with.
The iPhone 7 could come out to be water-resistant as bared through Apple Insider which should be a big sigh of relief for folks who have seen their device go bonkers due to the unexpected (or accidental) penetration of liquids in their device. While it could be water-resistant, do take note that it may not still follow that you can drop the device purposely on water.
The camera of the iPhone 7 could be another thing to look forward to. There is word that Apple could be arming the iPhone 7 with a dual camera that may include an optical zoom and improve on the current 12 MP resolution that present iPhone models carry.
As far as the processor is concerned, the iPhone 7 could be running on an Intel chip if the company has been able to align it with the phone setup as pointed out by VentureBeat.
Aside from that, there are some still holding out hope for an OLED screen-based iPhone 7 per Alphr, 3D multi-touch and even wireless charging.
That and a whole lot more are rumored to be tied up with the iPhone 7 which somehow makes it a device worth waiting for. Some could possibly be included but it would not be surprising if some are not.
As to whether you should get one or not, it depends on your patience and craving for more features as well as room for consideration with regards to how much you may be shelling out for it. If the features for it are that heavy, be prepared to shell out some big money in 9 months time.
An iPhone 6s or 6s Plus could be worth getting for now and then worry about the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus later and until we all see what makes it different from the current crop of iPhones we already have.
