‘Final Fantasy VII’ Remake: Release Date, Gameplay & More Details Here!

The "Final Fantasy VII" remake was recently revealed at a Playstation Experience event.

According to Tech Crunch, Square Enix announced "Final Fantasy VII" remake and unveiled its first trailer at the E3 2015. It appears that the much-anticipated game is more than just a remake with improved graphics.

The "Final Fantasy VII" remake trailer offered several actual gameplay demos and the new version is absolutely stunning.

Rumors claim that the "Final Fantasy VII" remake gameplay will be geared towards being more action oriented and a genuine atmosphere of speed. The rumors appear true as seen in the trailer.

Producer Yoshinori Kitase spoke with Sony about the "Final Fantasy VII" remake and he indeed confirm a more action oriented gameplay, explaining that the hardware and games have evolved into being "real time based." Kitase, however, held back on calling the remake purely "action-based," while adding that it will be more real-time as opposed to the original.

In addition to the aforementioned "Final Fantasy VII" remake updates and rumors, according to Tech Crunch, it's also worth noting that the new game will come be a third-person game. The remake will also be equipped with a new combat system with real-time combats.

Reception from gamers is still unknown, but the action role-playing game may reportedly be making the right move since turn-based combats are no longer the trend.

Kitase also explained other changes to the "Final Fantasy VII" remake. It appears that the new game is recreating the "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" movie's look and feel.

The producer also confirmed classic RPG elements in the new game as Kitase said players are allowed to choose several things including weapons. It still remains unclear how the "Final Fantasy VII" remake story will go with the new "action-filled orientation."

Despite recent news about the new "Final Fantasy" game, the final version can still differ greatly from what is seen in the trailer. Though it's worth noting that the PS4 today can deliver way better results than the PS1, Kitase said. In addition, characters such as Cloud, Aerith and Tifa's visual appearances appear exactly like they did in "Advent Children."

Meanwhile, the "Final Fantasy VII" remake release date may not arrive anytime soon, but according to The Times Gazette, because of the existing trophies, the game could reportedly arrive sooner than later.

Rumors claim that the game is set for a 2017 release by Square Enix to go with the 20th anniversary of the original game.
