Although the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has only been launched recently, people are already starting to about the potential specifications of its possible successor. The Galaxy Note 6 is rumored to feature pretty powerful hardware, suggesting that it might turn out to be a gaming device.
Tech Times reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will reportedly be equipped with a 16-core chipset, 8GB of RAM and 4K display. The device is expected to release in the third quarter of 2016. The product is said to feature a 30-megapixel rear camera and a 16-megapixel front shooter, but others claim that the front camera will more likely have 7 megapixels. The device may also have a foldable display, spanning 6 to 6.2 inches. It will also likely be powered by wireless and fast-charging technology that allows it to charge 40 percent of its battery life in just four minutes. The Note 6 is also rumored to have a fingerprint scanner and an iris or retina scanner for Samsung Pay and biometrics.
Based on the same report by Tech Times, the Galaxy Note 6 will also include a variety of sensors, such as a thermometer, barometer, compass, SP02 oxygen sensor for checking blood pressure and a heart rate sensor. The handset will be shockproof and dustproof.
International Business Times wrote that the device will be powered by a 4,200mAh battery. There will also be a wide array of internal storage options. There will allegedly be a 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variant. The price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be around $1,100, depending on the specifications.
The Galaxy Note 5 launched in August 2015, featuring a 5.7-inch display and several other powerful features. The component upgrades that the Note 6 model may feature will match the company objectives shared by CEO JK Shin in providing users with a more positive and fulfilling viewing experience and added productivity on the go. The specifications of the Note 6, if deemed true, will allow it to run several game title with rather high requirements that other smartphones and tablets cannot normally run. The 4K resolution on a 6-inch display will also make the product more conducive for playing games for hours.
Value Walk added that the Note 6 may also include USB Type-C support and microSD card support, which were absent in the Note 5.
Samsung has yet to confirm the details and features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 6. More updates are expected in the months leading to its big release.
