The Lumia 920 won't be the only Windows Phone 8 smartphone for Nokia.

Along with the Lumia 820, Nokia has confirmed the upcoming, "third and most affordable" Lumia 620 smartphone.

"With its innovative design, the latest Windows Phone 8 software and signature experiences from Nokia, like Nokia lenses, Nokia Maps and Nokia Music, the Nokia Lumia 620 is a highly competitive smartphone at this price point," said Nokia Smart Devices Executive Vice President Jo Harlow.

But will the Lumia 620 be enough to compete with the Lumia 920?

The Lumia 920 has so far been selling out since its launch early last month, from AT&T, Amazon, and Best Buy.

So how does the Lumia 620 fare against the flagship smartphone that is the Lumia 920?

Size and Weight:

The Lumia 920's frame includes a length of 130.3mm, a width of 70.8mm, and a depth of 10.7mm while the Lumia 620's length stands at 115.4mm, width of 61.1mm, and a depth of 11mm.

In terms of weight, the Lumia 920 weighs more at 185g to the Lumia 620's 127g.

Display:

The Lumia 920 features a screen size of 4.5-inches with a pixel resolution of 1,280x768 and 332 pixels per image (ppi).

The Lumia 620 will include a screen size of 3.8-inches utilizing ClearBack Display technology. The pixel resolution stands at 800x480 pixels and 246 ppi.

Internal Storage/Memory:

The Lumia 920 only offers a 32GB model and with 1GB of RAM while the Lumia 620 will offer 8GB of storage with 512MB of RAM.

Another notable difference is the microSD card slot, it will be offered for the Lumia 620 for up 64GB of memory but a slot is not available for the Lumia 920.

Photography/Video:

The Lumia 920's rear-facing camera features 8.7-megapixels with 3,264x2,448 pixels with Carl Zeiss optics. The front-facing camera comes at 1.3-megapixels.

When it comes to video, the Lumia 920 records at 1080p and at 30 frames per second (fps) with the rear-facing camera. The front-facing camera records at 720p, also at 30fps, for the front-facing camera uses 720p.

The Lumia 620's rear-facing camera features five-megapixels with 2,592x1,936 pixels, although it doesn't have Carl Zeiss optics. The front-facing camera has 640x480 pixels, also known as Video Graphics Array (VGA).

When it comes to video, only the rear-facing camera records but instead of 1080p, it is 720p while maintaining the 30fps.

Wireless Connectivity:

The Lumia 620 and Lumia 920 offers Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, Near Field Communication (NFC), and USB connectivity.

Operating System:

The Lumia 920 and Lumia 620 will utilize the latest Microsoft mobile operating system - Windows Phone 8.

Chipset/Processor

The Lumia 620 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 and dual-core 1 GHz Krait processor, while the Lumia 920 uses the Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon and dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor.

Battery:

The battery capacity of the Lumia 920 is 2,000 mAh with a standby time of 400 hours and talk time of 10 hours under 3G while the Lumia 620's battery capacity utilizes 1,300 mAh with a standby time of 330 hours and up to nine hours and 50 minutes of talk time in 3G.

Colors:

Lumia 920 touts its colorful options of black, gray, red, yellow, and white, while the 620 while also offer black and white, along with cyan, lime green, magenta, orange, and yellow.

Prices:

When signing a two-year contract with exclusive carrier AT&T, the Lumia 920's starting price will be $99.99. The Lumia 620 does not have a US release date yet, but according to Nokia, an unlocked version will cost $249.
