The year 2015 is ending soon and for most techies out there, many are awaiting what new flagship devices are in store for them in 2016.
Samsung is once again expected to lead the pact while other variants are equally expected to reveal their own interesting flagships. Sony, LG Electronics and HTC are expected to unveil their ticket to the Battle of Flagships which can hopefully help them gain some ground in the Android-powered smartphone battle.
Samsung is of course one drawing a lot of attention with word that the company is set to launch the Samsung Galaxy S7 by February, 2016 at the earliest and before the scheduled 2016 Mobile World Congress via their annual Unpacked event.
The word out is that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be available in two variants, the difference lying in the processor of each (Exynos 8890 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 820). The device will tote a larger display (5.7 to 5.8 inches) and will feature a stronger magnesium alloy body.
LG is pinning its hopes on a shift to the metal casing bit with rumors that the LG G5 will be coming with an all new aluminum-clad design along with the new fingerprint-scanner technology and 4K display resolution. It is believed that LG will be releasing this device by the first quarter of 2016.
The company is hoping that the shift in phone design would help ramp up their poor financial performance thus far.
Sony for its part will likely be offering the Sony Xperia Z6 though probably at a later date. With the Sony Xperia Z5 hardly getting its feet wet, there is a chance that Sony could be providing folks a glimpse via prototype of the said device at MWC 2016 with the device more likely to be released by the middle of 2016.
Sony will likely offer something eye-catching on the display screen resolution front while maintaining its usual square shape with the default specs inside (i.e. Snapdragon Qualcomm processor, 3 to 4 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB internal storage) among others.
It will be interesting to see as well how good the camera would be seeing that Sony has impressed a lot in this feature consistently.
Finally, let us not forget HTC. The next in line is likely to be an HTC One M10, though there is a chance that the M10 may no longer be the flagship’s model name if rumors hold true.
#M10 is NOT the CODENAME of the next #htc #flagship & the soc presented today is inside.. #talk #easy for #obtuse minority spread in #forum

Whatever the name of the next HTC One flagship would be, chances are that it will be also around at MWC 2016.
Like Samsung, LG and Sony, the HTC one will likely carry the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, a QHD 2560x1440 display (possibly 5.2-inches), a 20 MP camera and fingerprint scanning technology clad in a metal shell.
The only difference for the rumored HTC One M10 could be in the BoomSound speakers, that is if it is coming out with one. Apparently rumored specs, particularly the stand-out ones, are a bit vague at this point and hopefully HTC comes out with at least one glaring issue to make it standout above its competitors in the Battle of Flagship devices for 2016.
