The "Elder Scrolls 6" release date has become highly anticipated since the game's last three titles - "Morrowind," "Oblivion" and "Skyrim" - has been awarded Game of the Year. While many fans are expecting an "Elder Scrolls 6" release at the soonest possible time, according to Crossmap, the soonest "TES 6" release be 2016.

The latest "Elder Scrolls 6" release date news is that Pete Hines (VR of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks) has made statements that make fans' assumption of a late release likely happening. Bethesda is known to release "Elder Scrolls" every four years, and for "Elder Scrolls 6," this seems to be the case as well despite demands of a sooner release.

Bethesda decided to create an online version of "Elder Scrolls" since the game's huge success, and they asked ZeniMax Online's help in the process since the online arena is reportedly not their expertise. However, previous "Elder Scrolls 6" news claim that the game has encountered bugs and glitches during development.

Pete Hines recently sat down with the Telegraph.

"It's rare to have franchises like the ones we have and to have people joking about 'when is Skyrim 2 coming out?' The reason they say that is because generally speaking that's what you'd be getting with another publisher in charge," he said.

"They'd be spitting out a Skyrim 2 the year after or two years later. That's just not how we view it. We're not the sort of publisher that focuses on 'what's our 25 titles for 2015'," he added.

Hine's statements debunk "Elder Scrolls 6" rumors that the game is based on Morrowind or Oblivion.

Hine was also interviewed by DualShockers during Gamescom 2015. He further clarified that the "Skyrim 2" or "Elder Scrolls 6" release date will not happen soon.

According to Crossmap, any "Elder Scrolls 6" updates won't be happening until 2017 because there is the release of "Fallout 4" and "DLCs" after.

As for the game's location, this still remains under debate. It will reportedly be either Elsweyr or Valenwood. When it comes to the title, "Elder Scrolls 6" rumors suggest that the debate is between "Argonia," "Redguard" or just "Skyrim 2."

Another "Elder Scrolls 6" news is that it could be a single-player game, since Bethesda hasn't released one in a while, and fans have been requesting the single-player update.

Because of the long wait for the "Elder Scrolls 6" release, the question whether Bethesda should use a simplified skills system is being questioned, according to Gaming Bolt.

The Gaming Bolt report said that if the company wants a completely bug free experience for its gamers, this would be achieved through a simplified skills system. This is a hope since players reportedly had a hard time being comfortable with "Skyrim's" complicated Skills system.
