Despite technical hurdles which bred months of delays, DLC is at last making its way to the PS3 version of Skyrim. Today, the company opened up about the order of release for upcoming content.
"On PS3 in particular, we turned our attention to Dragonborn, as we thought it was the best content to release first, and we didn't want folks to wait longer. Once it's ready to go for everyone, we'll continue our previous work on Hearthfire and Dawnguard for PS3. Each one takes a lot of time and attention to work well in all circumstances and all combinations of DLC. Once we have a better idea of release timing and pricing, we'll let you know," reads the Bethesda Blog. "We're hard at work to make this content available early next year on PS3 and PC."
Dragonborn is currently available on the Xbox 360 for 1600 Microsoft Points, and reintroduces players to the land of Solstheim, a region within Morrowind. Notable gameplay additions include dragon mounts, alongside new armors, weapons, dungeons, and quests.
Dawnguard introduced a new quest-line as well and explored the undead of Skyrim by giving players a window into the war between vampires and humanity. Hearthfire is bite-size in nature and provides the tools to create and customize houses in Skyrim.
Rest assured that Dragonborn will not be the last time The Elder Scrolls will beckon gamers to return.
"We also have some more stuff planned for everyone next year as well. We do everything we can to return the support you have given us, whether it's The Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, game updates, or DLC," the developer notes.
