Barely a month and half ago, Latinos Post reported that Nintendo's highly anticipated "Star Fox Zero" will be delayed until an unspecified date in 2016. However, during Nintendo Direct, fans of the game were given the exact time when they can expect the game.
Nintendo announced that the Wii U-exclusive 3D scrolling shooter video game will be released on April 22, 2016.
"Star Fox Zero" is a "deep space" and "dogfighting" adventure video game featuring its characters named Fox, Falco, Peppy and Slippy. The game, developed by Nintendo in partnership with Platinum Games, will feature a new Arwing complemented with an all-new pilot cockpit" view that promise to give players a "cinematic flight experience."
The game was scheduled to be released this 2015. Nonetheless, with Shigeru Miyamoto citing that they will be using the added time to work on areas such as the "unprecedented discovery" and "level designs" and to perfect the "tone of the cut scenes" in order to live up to the expectations of fans, the game's release date was moved.
In the report by Game Rant, it mentioned that although the initial E3 reveal of "Star Fox Zero" shows somehow disappointing visuals, the environmental details of the game as well as reflections, backgrounds and sky box have definitely been improved.
However, the gaming news outlet pointed that the game's animation and "visual fidelity" still remains below the "top tier titles" available for Wii U.
It also highlighted that even though the game has a Wii U GamePad support that will enable players to fly in one direction while shooting at the opposite or other side, this component will disable players from experiencing the game's "cinematic quality."
Besides "Star Fox Zero," more updates, new details and Wii U bundles were revealed during Nintendo Direct.
The release date for games such "Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival" and "Xenoblade Chronicles X" were revealed as well as updates on "Pokken Tournament," "The Legend of Zelda," and "Splatoon."
A new update for "Mario Tennis" called "Mega Mushroom" was also unveiled along with the new portal site for "Mario Maker."
Additionally, Nintendo will also be releasing two new Wii U bundles for the holidays including a Smash Bros.-console bundle and a Splatoon-console bundle.
