The long wait is over for "World of Warcraft" fans.
Legendary Pictures and Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled the first official trailer for their upcoming "Warcraft" movie which would definitely excite the fans of the video game franchise.
During the Blizzcon 2015, the trailer was shown featuring the battle between the Human-Orcs Alliance and the invading Horde who wanted to take over the human kingdom.
As revealed in the trailer, the upcoming movie will likely focus on the Humans and the Orcs who were leaving their war-ravaged world Azeroth in search for a new home which they found in the Human kingdom. However, the Horde, composed of savage Orcs, was looking to conquer the Human world.
Hence, the Humans and the Orcs seeking a peaceful home unite in order to fight and defeat the threat of the enemy.
According to Game Rant, the graphics shown in the trailer are fantastic especially with the illustration of the Orcs, Beasts, and mounts.
The gaming news outlet furthered that in contrast with the confusing exclusive footage shown to a few fans in the San Diego Comic-con, the official trailer and the story is much clearer. It, however, pointed that the upcoming two-hour movie will have a lot of work to do in compressing the loaded storyline revealed in the trailer.
The film directed by Duncan Jones will feature Alliance characters such as Anduin Lothar (Travis Femmel), King Llane Wrynn (Dominic Cooper), Medivh (Ben Foster), Khadgar (Ben Schetzer), Lady Taria (Ruth Negga) and Garona (Paula Patton).
Characters that will form part of the antagonist Horde include Durotan (Toby Kebbel), Orgrim (Rob Kazinsky), Blackhand (Clancy Brown) and Gul'Dan (Daniel Wu).
As mentioned by Game Rant, if the film found financial success when released, there is a big possibility that movies and sequels could be produced due to its deep "lore" that could easily warrant an entire new production.
Moreover, with "World of Warcraft" continuously producing expansion games for the franchise with "Legion" already announced to come in the summer of 2016, Blizzard has not only kept the franchise alive and kicking but it has also established a strong community for the game that could be the key for the movie's success.
"Warcraft" is scheduled to be released on June 10, 2016.
