Will an iPhone 6c Come Out? [Release Date, Specs, Features & Rumors]

Over at Apple right now, all the rave is about the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. While the new devices are of course impressive to get, the price of getting one leaves a lot to be desired.

Then again, so are its predecessors though some buyers don’t seem to mind the hefty price of owning the latest iPhone device.

But there was a time when Apple offered an affordable piece, the iPhone 5c. This happened way back in September, 2013 and while many were hoping for a successor, it will almost be two years since one has made the scene.

All that folks have to rely on right now is rumors which from the looks of it will be the case moving forward for now. So is Apple working on one? To date, nothing official or close to at least indicating that an iPhone 6c is in the works is in the air.

Could one be out by 2016? If so, any word linking Apple to such may be the only one to keep the hopes of budget-conscious Apple buyers up.

With that said and hope seemingly academic, the best thing to do right now is hope and pray that Apple has a change of heart and come up with one.

Other than that, rumors of an iPhone 6c will suffice and some have done a great job trying to come out with concepts on what a possible successor to the polycarbonate iPhone 5c could look like.

One such concept has been done via video by SET Solution. Apparently the concept stems from the same thing that the iPhone 5c had, the iPhone 5/5S. So in this case, it looks pretty much the iPhone 6/6S though the difference is of course in the colorful polycarbonate shell it sports.

Moving forward, hoping for an iPhone 6c could very well be dilapidating. With the year coming to a close, the mindset of many Apple enthusiasts is already on an iPhone 7. Could Apple (in case they do have plans) be planning to release an iPhone 6c as perhaps a breadcrumb to the iPhone 6 variant?

How about a big jump from the iPhone 5c to a possible iPhone 7c instead? Could that sell?

The fact is that the iPhone 5c had its share of customers and many (at this point) are a bit disappointed no iPhone 6c variant came out. It is a fact that some would want to get hold of a budget-friendly device though Apple seems far from convinced that such will sell.
