Small maps are popular in the multiplayer gaming of the "Call of Duty" franchise as it provides players with an intense, quick-action and all-out head-to-head battle.
Perhaps, one of the most popular small-area map is the Nuketown -- so popular that Activision has released a trailer to show the new "Nuk3town" map which will be seen in the upcoming "Call of Duty: Black Ops III."
The trailer started by showing the "Nuketown" map versions in the "Black Ops" and "Black Ops II" before revealing the newly-looking "Nuk3town" map as it will appear in the "Black Ops III."
As what can be seen in the trailer, although the layout of the map seems the same, the looks of the houses are more "futuristic" especially with the androids in it, unlike the previous ones which show mannequins. The overall aesthetics of environment has been more colorful as well.
One prevalent addition in the map, however, is the wall-like structures which are placed on the edges of the map which Game Rant cited to be for the "wall-running traversal system" which has been integrated in the game.
"Nuk3town has been re-designed from the ground up to highlight Treyarch's new momentum-based, chained-movement system, allowing players to battle in this adrenaline-charged multiplayer map. Players will experience a new take on this classic run-and-gun, close-quarters map," "Call of Duty" described in the video.
On the other hand, the Game Rant report has informed that Activision has made the right move on not making big modifications on the fan-favorite map which has been highly popular with its great and unique graphics and visuals which are great for "fast-paced" multiplayer gaming.
Nonetheless, the gaming news outlet pointed that it was unfortunate that the map will not be instantly available when purchased as it will require a player to pre-order "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" to have access.
The bonus map will not also be available on PlayStation (PS) 3 and Xbox 360.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" is a first-person shooter video game where you will play as a Black Ops soldier who has superhuman capabilities. The game was set in a "dystopian" future where technology is so advanced that it has been consuming humanity.
The game will be released this coming Friday, Nov. 6, 2015. It will be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Moreover, although the PS3 and Xbox 360 version of the game will be available, it will not feature a campaign mode.
