Google might actually know what everyone will be wearing for Halloween.

The world's leading search engine has added on to the national "Halloween spirit" when it launched "Freightgeist" -- a mapping tool that uses Google Trends to analyze the top 500 costume searches in the United States, according to PC Mag. Freightgeist organizes the "trends" on a national and local level and allows site visitors to look up character by name to determine "originality."

"Every day, over 3 billion searches take place on Google and Google Trends gives us an unparalleled look at what the world is searching for," says the Frightgeist site as per PC Mag. "Google News Lab puts that data to use-from powering insightful journalism to helping you pick out your Halloween costume."

The Frightgeist website rankings reveal that characters from Suicide Squad, Star Wars and Batman vs. Superman films making a proper appearance on Halloween day, October 31. According to Frightgeist rankings, the number one most searched costume is DC's Harley Quinn as per a Forbes report.

Harley Quinn has also remained at the top of choice in Halloween costumes since the shopping season began so expect that you'll be seeing a lot of "Batman's nemesis" on the October 31st. Speaking of Batman, he also clinched one of the top five spots along with Star Wars characters who landed the "second most-Googled look," according to Forbes. This might be due to the much-anticipated release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Despicable Me's much loved yellow capsule-shaped cuties, Minions, on the other hand, falls on the eighth spot of most searched Halloween get ups. Femme fatale Wonder Woman, Disney Frozen's Elsa and (Super) Mario are in the  top 30 choices, as per PC Mag sharing the spotlight with classic costumes such as "witch, princess, mermaid, vampire, clown, fairy, cheerleader and skeleton." As general as those characters sound, it gets even more vague when you explore all the other 500 listed terms which include the likes of 1980s, Masquerade ball and The Renaissance among many.

Location-wise, Forbes shares some remarkable results from Frightgeist. In Alexandria, Louisiana the chances of encountering a Minion costume is quite high. However, up in the northeast area it is very probable you will see pirates -- specifically in Portland, Maine. Springfield, Massachusetts will likely be abound in Poison Ivy costumes. Presently, Tinkerbell's costume remains the top-most searched in Twin Falls, Idaho. Similarly, people from Meridian, Mississippi are keeping on the lookout online for Dorothy Gale's outfit.
