There have been a lot of neat-looking Android-powered devices out in the market these days and the choice on which to get should be a problem. Whether you are brand-conscious or simply someone looking for best price for your money devices, the list seems endless.
Brand-wise, the first thing that would come into mind would perhaps be Samsung, followed by Sony, LG, OnePlus, Google Nexus or maybe even Xiaomi. All those brands have multiple models to choose from but here are some of the best and reasonable models to consider getting.
1. Samsung Galaxy S6. Without question, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is perhaps the base and safest model to get to for the ones who continue to patronize Samsung products. It is not too classy but filled with the starting point of other devices in the Korean company’s lineup.
As stated in a previous post, the Samsung Galaxy S6 there have been iterations such as microSD card support and going with a non-removable battery. Aside from that, the Galaxy S6 seems to have all the necessary (Exynos octa-core processor, flexible internal storage and special features) that should be more than enough to consider for now.
2. Sony Xperia Z3. Like the case of the Samsung Galaxy S6, Sony has a lot in its Xperia series to consider. But before moving on to the advanced models, the Xperia Z3 should be the best starting point.
It is the phone that boasts of good battery life and most of all has the high-end camera (20.7MP main camera) and a quad core chipset.
Unlike the Samsung Galaxy S6, it does have provisions for expandable storage not to mention a quad-core processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 810) which should be more than enough for an entry-level Android user. Depending on what a buyer is looking for, this is one phone that should be seriously considered.
3. LG G4. LG Electronics has been on the aggressive lately and their phones aren’t that bad. The LG G4 could be a good device to consider as well, a souped up mobile phone that offers some of the features that the Galaxy S6 and Xperia Z3 fall short of.
That includes a removable batter (3,000 mAh) and microSD card support for up to 2TB. It relies on a Hexacore chipset (1.8GHz) that should make it another interesting Android device to consider.
4. OnePlus 2. This mobile device is reasonable but hard to get. Everyone perhaps knows by now how hard it is to get hold of an invite for the OnePlus 2. Such has been that ploy of OnePlus for years now but just the same, they have been successful.
The acclaimed flagship killer does carry an impressive line of specs at a way beyond the top smartphones in the market. That includes running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and an impressive 13MP main camera.
The only negative thing about the phone is how to get one. But aside from that, it is one of the best alternative phones that provides value for your money.
5. Xiaomi Mi 4c. Xiaomi is another brand that plays along the same lines of OnePlus. The Xiaomi Mi 4C It offers no frills but just the basics for folks looking for a powerful phone to use. It runs on a reasonable 1.8 GHz processor, 16GB of RAM and a 13 MP main camera. Its battery is not removable like the Galaxy S6.
Xiaomi has made a name for itself as well as another acclaimed flagship killer but may be hard to get. Just the same it also offers the best price for a device that offers pretty decent specs.
In all, the choice of which device to get boils down to price, specs and branding. Mentioned above are some of the likely Android-powered phones you may want to get for 2015 though there will surely be a lot more.
If the specs are not convincing, remember that these are only some of the base and latest models you can get your hands on. There are others down the line but that would include shelling out additional cash of course.
