It wasn't too long ago that HTC said it would be rolling out Android Jelly Bean to One X owners worldwide. Sadly, the update seemed to only release in Taiwan, until now. HTC, it seems, is now releasing Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean across more international markets.
HTC One X users from Israel, India, Argentina, UK, Brazil, Russia, Peru, Dominican Republic, and Sri Lanka are all reporting that they have started receiving the Jelly Bean update, according to HTCSource and XDA.
Jelly Bean for the HTC One X first started appearing in Taiwan back in October. While it has taken some time for HTC to roll it out to other markets, the Jelly Bean upgrade is still a nice present before the end of the year arrives.
However, HTC One X owners tied to AT&T in the United States shouldn't be holding their breath for an update anytime soon. U.S. carriers are usually the last to send out Android updates, and AT&T is tied up at the moment trying to release Jelly Bean for its Galaxy S3 users. The AT&T HTC One X does remain a popular Android smartphone, and while there have some ROMS floating around out there, it most likely won't get Jelly Bean until 2013.
Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean introduces several new features such as a Google voice assistant named Google Now. In addition to that, Jelly Bean improves system performance thanks to Project Butter.
If you're an HTC One X owner, let us know if you have received your Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update.
